No league promotes parity in the manner of the NFL: it defines their identity. However, after 10 weeks of this season, this isn’t a league featuring uniform distribution between the good, the bad and the mediocre. It’s one where the bulk of franchises appear to be adequate.

In the NFC, at least, there is some clarity. Consider that carefully. No Chiefs presence. Not the Bills. Neither Ravens nor Bengals. The traditional powers, supported by elite NFL signal-callers, possess either obvious team deficiencies or have been hit by injuries.

Patriots Examination

The Patriots seem relatively comparable. Previously, they were league laughingstocks. Established Contenders

The Ravens' form part of the Big Three – together with Bills and Chiefs – driven by elite quarterback play, that would continue to generate the highest anxiety among competitors if they qualified. They're the teams everyone hopes to avoid, but the Chiefs and Bills persistently undermine themselves.

Bills Struggles

Last week, the Bills were riding high post Chiefs triumph. During Sunday's action they experienced one of the most disappointing losses during the campaign. They didn't simply fail against Miami; they were embarrassed, dropping a 30-13 road game. The Dolphins secured their first triumph over the Bills in over three years.
