President Trump Calls Loved Ones of Shot Guard Soldiers to the Presidential Residence

Former President Donald Trump revealed on the weekend that he has asked the family of a Guard member fatally shot last week to come to the presidential home.

He added that he spoke to her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

Details on the Heartbreaking Shooting

US army specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, was killed in a attack on last Wednesday in Washington DC.

Her comrade, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in grave state.

Gatherings across the state have taken place in their honor.

White House Invitation

The commander-in-chief said he’s proposed a visit to the White House for the parents of both members of the West Virginia Guard.

“I stated: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a tough thing, visit the White House. We’re going to honor her,” Trump addressed journalists. “And similarly with Andrew, no matter the outcome.”

Public Reaction

Mourners assembled over the past few days at a local school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.

Both she and Wolfe had been fulfilling duties with the military unit as part of Trump’s federal initiative to aid law enforcement in the capital.

Remembering the Soldier

“She was the individual that educators hoped for. She conducted herself with quiet strength, a contagious smile and a positive energy that encouraged those around her,” Hankins, the leader of Beckstrom’s former high school, told the media. “She was caring, caring and always ready to assist people.”

Service arrangements for Sarah are still being arranged.

Legal Measures and Government Changes

Law enforcement have charged a twenty-nine-year-old individual from Afghanistan with one count of first-degree murder and charges of violent assault while armed.

The event caused the government to suspend asylum processing and temporarily stop granting entry permits to holders of passports from Afghanistan.

Condition of Wolfe

Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, began his service in 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman high school, per the news agency.

He is still undergoing care and is “battling to survive”, the state’s leader Morrisey stated on Fox News Channel’s The Sunday Briefing.

The state’s top lawyer Bondi informed Fox News Sunday that she planned to speak to Wolfe’s family.

Impact of Sarah Beckstrom

Sarah, from her hometown, completed her education from her high school in mid-2023 and enlisted soon after, serving as a law enforcement officer with honor, according to the military.

“She had a lot of kindness and she certainly had courage,” the governor addressed the crowd at the vigil. “Though her time was cut short, she has made an impact that’s going to endure.”
